About

The Saturdays are a British and Irish pop girl group based in London. The group consists of Una Foden, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White and Rochelle Humes. In 2007 the band were formed through Fascination Records which gave them an instant record deal with Fascination, a sub-division of Polydor Records.

The band rose to fame when they released their debut single "If This Is Love", which gave them their first top ten hit. They later released their first mainstream studio album Chasing Lights. It was accredited platinum certification by the British Phonographic Industry, while "Up", "Issues" and "Just Can't Get Enough" all received silver certifications. After the album, the band began their first sell-out tour The Work Tour. While touring, the band began recording their second studio album, Wordshaker which was released in October 2009, which gained silver certification by BPI.

In 2010, as a bridge between their 2010 release Wordshaker and their planned 2011 album, the band released their first extended play, Headlines!, the first single "Missing You" released and second single, "Higher" which featured guest vocals from Flo Rida. On Your Radar is their third studio album which was released in November 2011, with top ten singles "Notorious" and "All Fired Up" released before the album. A third single 'My Heart Takes Over' was also released from this album.

In December 2011, the band took to their first arena tour, All Fired Up! Live. "30 Days" was released as the first single from their fourth album and charted at number seven on the UK Singles Chart. "What About Us" was released as the follow-up single from the album and became The Saturdays' first number-one single on the UK Singles Chart, selling 114,000 copies in the first week of release. "Gentleman" followed as the band's next single. "Disco Love", which went straight in at number five on the Official UK Charts, becoming their thirteenth top ten hit. Their fourth studio album, Living for the Weekend (2013) debuted at number ten on 20 October 2013, becoming their fourth Top 10 album. The Saturdays will release their first greatest hits album, Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits, on 11 August 2014. It will be preceded by the first single, "What Are You Waiting For?".

To date, The Saturdays have released seventeen singles in the UK, thirteen of which have entered the Official UK Top Ten. They have sold over 5 million singles in the UK and Ireland alone.
